Bilawal pays rich tribute to Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto on his 39th death anniversary

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said Nawaz Sharif has spent 32 and Imran Khan 22 years in politics but none succeeded in reducing the impact of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, he made in 11 years, and he is remembered for his achievements.

Bilawal was addressing the large gathering at Garhi Khuda Bux on the 39th death anniversary of his grandfather Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. 

Criticizing former premier he said Nawaz Sharif is asking for respect to vote. He is the one who never respected vote in his entire life. PPP never fought with judiciary though it was the same judiciary which hanged Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, dismissed Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto's government and imprisoned former President Asif Zardari. 

He said PPP suffered the most due to wrong decisions of the court but still respect institutions and seeking justice for the judicial murder of Shaheed Bhutto. On the other hand, Nawaz sent his Prime Minister to judges at night for pardon. 

Bilawal said Nawaz asks for respect to Parliament but he attended Parliament sessions only six times in five years. In the morning he (Nawaz) says the national economy is booming and the same evening he says the economy is destroyed due to the court decision. 

"It is modus operandi of Nawaz Sharif to obtain loans and make big claims through cosmetic development. They came to power with the promise to end load-shedding but their fraud is in front of all now".

He said the PPP government during its tenure provided interest-free loans to poor women and they (PML-N government) wrote off hefty loans to the rich. We gave subsidies to poor peasants and they are giving Tax Amnesty Scheme to rich and Imran Khan took benefit out of it equally.

Hitting hard on Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan, the PPP Chairman said, "They want power and their ideology is just money with their struggle being deception and lies. Currently, all political investors have gathered at Jaati Umra and Bani Gala. They fear only PPP because we are the Party of masses. We had put their arrogance to dust previously and will again push this greedy bunch against the wall", he resolved.

He said "Our politics and economic approach is different from others. Our politics and economy are for poor and their's for rich. We will fight for laborers, peasants, women rights, youth, minorities, health, education, employment. We will fight against oppression, poverty, hatred, communalism, terrorism, and extremism."

He was of the view that the extremism is because of terrorism, which cannot be eliminated through military action alone. "We need to change curriculum and national policies as well."

He maintained that PPP is the only Party which can challenge and fight extremism and terrorism. Every decade a Bhutto laid down his life. From Shaheed Bhutto, Shaheed Shahnawz Bhutto, Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto to Benazir Bhutto. And after every martyrdom, another Bhutto stands up and challenges pharaohs of time. Today’s pharaoh is extremism. 

He said the state of affairs in the country were worst when PPP returned to power in 2008 because anti-people individuals ruled and ruined the country for years. However, PPP began and built people’s welfare projects. 

Bilawal Bhutto said "When PPP asks for a vote it has a reason. Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto made a state into nation when Pakistan was bifurcated. He made new Pakistan." 

He asked the people if you want Bhutto’s Pakistan then you have to join hands with me. It is your choice whether you support Bhutto’s heir or Zia’s successor. One is carrying the flag of martyrs and the other carrying the flag of deception and lies. Third one riding the horse of hypocrisy with U-Turn flag.
