General election conducted peacefully in transparent manner across the country: ECP

The Election Commission of Pakistan has said that overall general elections 2018 were conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner peacefully across the country that has also been appreciated by the international observers.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Spokesperson of the Election Commission said that ECP will not be bowed down to political pressure by some political parties.

According to ECP, a large number of voters used their right of vote as per their aspiration independently.

The spokesperson said the election has widely been appreciated and accepted globally and that the world observers have also declared the general elections free, fair and transparent.

ECP spokesperson dismissed allegations leveled by the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leaders against the ECP.
