All Party Conference rejects election results 'with consensus', demanding re-election
“All the participants of the meeting have rejected the results and agreed that elections should be held again to ensure fairness and transparency,” he said. "We will run a movement for holding of elections again. There will be protests."
"We will not allow democracy to be taken hostage by the establishment," the MMA chief said.
PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif said his party completely agreed with the MMA and support its campaign against ‘worst and unprecedented irregularities' in elections.
Sharif, however, said that he will announce PML-N’s plan of action on Sunday after consultation with senior party leaders.
The nationwide election held on Wednesday has been criticised by the European Union and other observers after widespread claims that the powerful establishment was trying to fix the playing field in Imran Khan's favor.
The PML-N and other parties have alleged "blatant" rigging over the vote count.
"The worst kinds of irregularities have been committed which are unprecedented," said Sharif of the election.
The conference was attended by Shehbaz Sharif, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, JI chief Siraj-ul-Haq, ANP leader Asfandyar Wali, MQM leader Farooq Sattar, QWP's Aftab Ahmad Sherpao and others.
