Supreme Court seeks reply from companies involved in loan write-off
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan has sought reply within a week from the 222 companies involved in the loan write-off.
Hearing a suo motu case today pertaining to the loan write-off of fifty-four billion rupees, the chief justice said that properties of tax defaulters will be seized and their cases will be referred to the National Accountability Bureau.
Hearing of the case has been adjourned till 19th of this month.
Meanwhile, hearing a suo motu case pertaining to water scarcity in Islamabad, Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar directed both the CDA and Municipal Corporation to formulate a joint policy on the water issue.
The Chief Justice also directed that reply should be submitted within ten days in the court about the illegal tube wells operating in the twin cities.
