Nawaz, Maryam leaving for London to visit ailing Kulsoom Nawaz

Former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz is leaving for London on Wednesday to see his ailing wife Kulsoom Nawaz.

The father and the daughter may seek exemption from being present in the accountability court in the hearing scheduled on Friday. If granted exemption, the sources said they will return before Monday and if the exemption from appearing in the court is not granted, they will return before Friday to ensure the attendance in the court.

Begum Kulsoom Nawaz was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday after her condition deteriorated. Maryam Nawaz asked the people to pray for her mother.

Begum Kulsoom Nawaz was diagnosed with lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. Doctors, however, said the type of cancer she was suffering from was treatable.
