Get ready Russia, because Missiles are coming: Trump
Russia should get ready to shoot down missiles fired at Syria, US President Donald Trump wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
"Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and ‘smart!’ You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!" the tweet reads.
Tass reported that earlier on Wednesday, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed hope that "all countries will refrain from steps that, on the one hand, would be totally unwarranted and on the other hand, may exacerbate the already fragile situation in the region."Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. RFE/RL said that Russia has waned that a U.S. strike on Syria could have "grave consequences," and Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said a few hours before Trump's tweets that such an attack could "substantially destabilize" the "already fragile" situation in the Middle East.
Reuters and TASS reported late on April 10 that the pan-European air traffic control agency is warning airlines to exercise caution in the eastern Mediterranean "due to the possible launch of air strikes into Syria with air-to-ground and/or cruise missiles within the next 72 hours."Our relationship with Russia is worse now than it has ever been, and that includes the Cold War. There is no reason for this. Russia needs us to help with their economy, something that would be very easy to do, and we need all nations to work together. Stop the arms race?— Donald J.
