Weddings Bells for Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh by the year end

Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will reportedly wed in an intimate ceremony later this year, reports in Indian media suggest.

Reliable sources privy to families said parents of the couple have finalized the date of their wedding after Deepika's parents flew to Mumbai to meet Ranveer's family. This meeting also involved an exchange of gifts and jewelry for the soon-to-wed couple. The families have allegedly short-listed four dates between September and December for the wedding.

The Padukones and Bhavnanis will now scout for the perfect venue in India and abroad before they set D-date. Reports had stated that the bride-to-be has already started shopping for her trousseau and jewelry.

According to Times of India, the wedding will reportedly be a private affair with only close friends and family in attendance as the couple exchanges their vows according to Hindu rituals. However, if reports are to be believed, then the couple is yet to decide if they want a grand reception to follow.

It was reported early this year that Ranveer, Deepika, and their families brought in the New Year together in the Maldives, where they received the blessings of their parents. Further adding fuel to these reports, both actors have cleared their filming schedules for the year-end.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have been highly appreciated for their performances in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat'. The two are not just going strong on the professional front but also on the personal front.

When Ranveer was asked about his relationship with Deepika at an event, the actor said, "It is a relationship of mutual admiration. I rate her very highly as an actor, and she tells me, 'You're just a ham."

The actor, known for his quirky fashion choices also added that Deepika is "awesome" and "there's a lot to learn from her as an artiste."

Despite refusing to confirm or deny this relationship status, the actor concluded saying that he is "blessed to have her in my life."

After mesmerizing the audience with their stellar performances in three back to back films, ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh might apparently team up for yet another venture.

However, Deepika's back problem has also reportedly worsened and has been advised three-four months rest. The actress had been working round-the-clock since last year for ‘Padmaavat’ and the long hours of shoot seemed to have resulted in the resurfacing of her back issue.

Some stories hinting that the couple will make their relationship official soon, have popped up. According to a report, both the families have been in talks and have also started the prep for a grand wedding in Mumbai.

The couple will reportedly have a South Indian style wedding followed by a grand reception in Mumbai for the film fraternity. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
